Is Invisalign® right for me?

Invisalign® is a method of aligning teeth without braces. Instead, clear trays are created that cause incremental movements. Over time, the trays are exchanged for progressively more significant movements.

Invisalign® was designed to correct minimal crowding/spacing that does not require movement of the roots. Many patients with more complex malocclusions are receiving treatment with Invisalign® and the results have been less than favorable and highly susceptible to relapse. Though still available, orthodontists have begun to shy away from Invisalign® opting instead for the tried-and-tested traditional braces. In fact, for such minimal movements, removable retainers can sometimes be employed to produce a better correction for a fraction of the fee for Invisalign®.
